Los Angeles, California is located on the Central West Coast of the United States. Known for key area's such as the US Film Industry's "Hollywood," as well as other key area's, the area is certainly has an appeal to many. My visit was pretty short, but I did get to see much of the Hollywood area. However, I learned while there from locals that West Hollywood is the more appropriate area to visit if you want to experiance the true vibe of the area.
While there were numerous opportunities for exploration, public transportation emerged as a significant challenge. The absence of train services necessitates reliance on public buses for commuting, which complicates travel. This limitation often forces visitors to resort to costly rideshare options or rental cars, all while navigating the region's extensive traffic.
The area boasts many beautiful sites; however, it is unfortunately marred by a high population of homeless encampments and significant litter. Additionally, the prevalence of mental health issues contributes to a perception of reduced safety and diminished appeal.
Although I appreciated the opportunity to experience the area, I would rate Los Angeles a 4 out of 10 in terms of places I would consider revisiting.
